We were so excited to celebrate Daniel's 2nd Birthday right on his birthday last Sunday night. Since he's rather in love with Thomas the Tank Engine at the moment, I decorated with that theme. It was lots of fun but lots of work too. I don't know how many years I'll keep up themed parties. :-)
I made a Thomas train for all his favorite side dishes...potato chips, tortilla chips, any and all olives, fritos, dill pickles, carrots, tomatoes, popcorn. See a common ingredient? You got it, salt! Takes after Mommy I guess.
Fun balloons and engine faces hanging from the ceiling. Train track tables.
Drink station to fill up the engines.
He LOVED his magna doodler and Thomas book from Grandma & Grandpa Johnson!
He loved his balls from Daddy. Yes, Chris went out and shopped of his own accord for Daniel's
birthday! I was absolutely amazed!
Quiet book from Mommy. FINALLY finished it!! I'll do a separate post on this, mainly for April. :-)
Cupcake Thomas train. We had been practicing for weeks blowing out pretend BD candles. Then a few nights before this we practiced with real candles. It worked, he knew just what to do and seemed to really enjoy the ritual.
