December Festivities

We began the Christmas week with a wonderful morning at Jamie's (along with the Peter's family) making gingerbread houses. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures (and the few I took weren't good), but it was a fun time!! Jamie went to a lot of work for this morning and we all had a blast!

Danny got to take part in the Gilchrist/Johnson family tradition this year by opening his gift from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson on Christmas Eve. He painstakingly tore little bits of wrapping off the package and delighted in throwing each piece of confetti (as Chris called it) into the trash can. When he actually got to the gift, he threw that away too thinking that was the game. We rescued the adorable Thomas big boy pajamas from the trash and put them on. He seemed thrilled and went back to playing with Thomas that had been occupying him most of the evening. This little guy loves trains!!

Sporting his pajamas on Christmas morning...yes he loves drinking "hot tea" each morning!

Combing his penguin's "hair" on Christmas day.

Over at Aunt Jamie's house opening a penguin from Blake.

Bryant and Lana (missed getting Kayla's picture in her new Minnie Mouse pajamas.)

Looking through his Peanuts Christmas book from Bebe.

Studying his new trash truck puzzle.

Crazy Chris with his new monitor...a good deal off of Craigslist.

Danny's new trash truck...he played and played with it.

He even insisted on having it in bed with him.

Uncle Peter made Danny a tail out of duct tape. He loved it and showed it off to everyone.

Hugging our penguin on the back porch.

Even a kiss for mister penguin!

Elves hat and jingle bell.

This little guy has really gotten into towers lately and builds them in the strangest places.

Just getting a little snack with the guys. :-) He begs for pickles most every day.

Merry Christmas!!

  1. Dearest Kellie and Chris, How we love to see your Christmas week and delight in being with you in spirit!! Tell Peter we love the tail! Our little Danny is so loved! We enjoy watching his life and yours blossom and bloom as he experiences so many wonderful character developing things, like big green pickles with Grandpa and Uncles.
Your doing so well! Thanks for sharing.:) Love, Mom and Dad
