December Festivities

We began the Christmas week with a wonderful morning at Jamie's (along with the Peter's family) making gingerbread houses. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures (and the few I took weren't good), but it was a fun time!! Jamie went to a lot of work for this morning and we all had a blast!

Danny got to take part in the Gilchrist/Johnson family tradition this year by opening his gift from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson on Christmas Eve. He painstakingly tore little bits of wrapping off the package and delighted in throwing each piece of confetti (as Chris called it) into the trash can. When he actually got to the gift, he threw that away too thinking that was the game. We rescued the adorable Thomas big boy pajamas from the trash and put them on. He seemed thrilled and went back to playing with Thomas that had been occupying him most of the evening. This little guy loves trains!!

Sporting his pajamas on Christmas morning...yes he loves drinking "hot tea" each morning!

Combing his penguin's "hair" on Christmas day.

Over at Aunt Jamie's house opening a penguin from Blake.

Bryant and Lana (missed getting Kayla's picture in her new Minnie Mouse pajamas.)

Looking through his Peanuts Christmas book from Bebe.

Studying his new trash truck puzzle.

Crazy Chris with his new monitor...a good deal off of Craigslist.

Danny's new trash truck...he played and played with it.

He even insisted on having it in bed with him.

Uncle Peter made Danny a tail out of duct tape. He loved it and showed it off to everyone.

Hugging our penguin on the back porch.

Even a kiss for mister penguin!

Elves hat and jingle bell.

This little guy has really gotten into towers lately and builds them in the strangest places.

Just getting a little snack with the guys. :-) He begs for pickles most every day.

Merry Christmas!!

Into fall

Danny finally figured out how to push Blake in the car.
Blake has been obliging Danny with rides for months and finally got one in return!

Enjoying one last picnic in October (Red Rocks). I couldn't seem to get any pictures that day that made it appear the boys were having any fun.

A little catching up to do

I'm hoping that now that I've implemented a new digital photo organizational system that I'll be blogging much more frequently. This really worked its way into top priority since the next baby will be due in March and I wanted an easier way to keep you all updated. Hopefully this system will work a bit easier for me...and therefore you'll get more updates!!!

Summer Fun

Helping Grandpa fix Becky's car which conveniently broke at our house.

First time on the grocery store horse...Chris was horrified that I paid for him to ride the horse until he heard it only cost 1 cent. After 2 years, I will have spent a dollar...
He enjoys it a little more now and asks me repeatedly if he gets to ride the horse as we shop.

This guy LOVES books...guess he's just like Daddy.

Taking an impromptu nap.

April, Banzhafs & the 4th

I was thrilled to have April around for a bit in June! (We missed Nathan!)
Here we are visiting Mom's mom, Grandma Barbara.

Some of my cousins (Garcias) and their babies.

One of my students I've been teaching for 9 years did a senior recital while April was here to play piano for him. Here he is in his dress rehearsal. That was a special night.

We enjoyed a night with Ben & Britney while April was here.

Ben showed us where he works for now.

Hangin' out

Aww, good to see them together!

We spent the lunch on the 4th at the Gilchist's house. For some reason I didn't take any pictures. We went over to my side for dinner at my Aunt Jane's house. Her yard is spectacular!!! Wish I'd gotten more pictures.

My dear, sweet cousin, Kathi, and her two boys, Hunter and Colton.

Family, family, family...it's good to have family!!!!
