January

We had the opportunity to take care of little Naomi for 10 days while her mom was in the hospital. Daniel learned a lot about being a big brother and Mommy learned a lot about having more than one child.

All packed up and ready to go teach violin.

Trying out the double stroller we were given by some good friends before Daniel was born. It was marvelous and packed full of convenient features!!

"Helping" Mommy with laundry.

Favorite drawer to get into in the kitchen. I'll tell you, they sure make Worcestershire sauce bottles sturdy and boy am I glad!!

 First birthday eve

Getting special attention from Grandpa on his first birthday.

His birthday present from Mommy and Daddy. He has no clue what to do with it and it just sits in a corner, unused. Oh well, I'm sure he'll enjoy it some day.

December

We were treated to a wonderful visit from the Johnsons shortly before Christmas.
Here are some wonderful memories.

Just hanging out in the car with Grandma before Mommy's Christmas concert started.

The poor Gilchrist family was sick, so the Travers and Johnson families came to our house for an evening of fun.

We were so excited to welcome Aunt April for the Christmas celebrations.

Right before Christmas, Mommy's violin students had a recital. Unfortunately, three of her students (her brothers) were sick and one other student couldn't make it. :-(

Daniel's first Christmas morning!

Christmas lunch celebration over at the Gilchrist house.

Silly Daddy!

Play time out in the backyard after lunch. Bryant graciously pulled Daniel around in the sled even without any snow to ease the pulling.

Presents over at the Travers' house later that evening. Danny had no clue what was going on.

Peter was Daniel's secret person. (We all draw names for birthdays and Christmas.)
What an interesting present!!

Trying out his new present from Peter!

Getting ready to bid April farewell.

Carla Peters gifted Daniel with three, yes three new penguin quilts. He was quite enjoying discovering these life-sized penguins while wearing his penguin shirt. :-)

What a terrific month!!
